So after planning out a tentative route for our trip, we just received notice from the Adventurists that there will be only one way to exit Nepal into India, and that is through the city of Nepalgunj, conveniently located about 150 miles West of where we originally planned to exit from. Apparently auto-rickshaws aren't even allowed in Nepal and we'll be driving 200 odd miles illegally, which means we'll get to experience crooked cops requesting bribes in not one country, but two! But we figure, what's a better way to start off an adventure than by heading off into the sunset in the complete opposite direction to that of the finish line!
In other news, after a rocky start, Korma Police is making headway in fundraising and publicity. In the next week or two we'll be furiously contacting newspapers and media to get our name out, hitting up various businesses for sponsorship, and rallying the support from our friends and family to help us reach our charity goal. Expect major updates to come! If anyone has any ties to the media or businesses that may be willing to sponsor us, please let us know.
